My 5 Days Journey to The Golden Triangle India by Train

I’ve visited the Golden Triangle of India through the most luxurious trains of India and explore the cultural and heritage sites of India’s three stunning cities: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Beholding the beauty of India by sitting in the well-equipped cabin of luxurious trains is the most exciting thing I’ve experienced in my journey. Here is my 5-day itinerary of Golden Triangle India by train goes like:-

Day 1: Delhi Arrival – Day Rest in The Hotel

Arrival in Delhi, The first day of my Golden Triangle tour India by Train

The first day of my Golden Triangle Tour journey starts from the arrival in Delhi. After landing at the Indira Gandhi International airport, my travel agency’s agent from whom I booked my Golden Triangle Tour of India, picked me up and dropped at my pre-booked hotel. After checking-in to the hotel, I have chosen the day rest in the hotel as I was very tired due to the long flight.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing

On the second day, my travel representative picked me up from the hotel in the early morning as we were going on a day out for Delhi Sightseeing. We started one-by-one Delhi’s most beautiful heritage sites that include the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate, Qutab Minar, and the embassy area with so many government buildings. Later, we visited Delhi’s local streets and enjoyed the delicious street food. After the full day of sightseeing, he dropped me at my hotel again.

Day 3: Delhi to Agra via Shatabdi Express – Agra Sightseeing

This was the day which I was waiting from the beginning and my real journey of Golden Triangle India by train started. Early in the morning, my representative told me that we are going to Agra via Shatabdi Express. I was so excited so, I finished my morning breakfast and leave for the Delhi railway station from where we took Shatabdi Express at 6 am. Those 2 hours from Delhi to Agra I’ve spent on the train, were memorable hours as I served in the most luxurious manner.

After arriving Agra, I checked-in to my hotel, freshen-up myself and get ready for the Agra sightseeing tour. We have started exploring the symbol of love Taj Mahal, The Massive Agra Fort, and Beautiful Mehtab Bagh.

Later, we moved on to the next site: Fatehpur Sikri which situated a few kilometers from Agra. After exploring it, we return back to Agra and he dropped me at the hotel. I enjoyed my dinner at the hotel and spent overnight there.

Day 4: Agra to Jaipur – Jaipur Sightseeing

It was the fourth day of my Golden Triangle Tour India by Train and my transfer from Agra to Jaipur. So in the early morning after finishing my breakfast, we catch the Shatabdi Express train and move to the capital city of Rajasthan: Jaipur.

After arriving at Jaipur, I checked-in to my pre-booked hotel and get ready for the sightseeing tour of Pink City, Jaipur. First, we head to the magnificent Amer Fort where we enjoyed the thrilling elephant ride to climb the fort. Later, we moved on to the other famous landmarks of the city including The Palace of Winds – Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory, The Famous Monkey Temple & Govind Dev Ji Temple, and The Albert Hall Museum. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Shopping in Jaipur – Delhi Return

Early in the morning, my travel agent picked me up from the hotel as we were going for some shopping in the lively shopping bazaars of the Pink City, Jaipur. We have enjoyed shopping at some popular markets such as Bapu Bazaar, Johari Bazaar, Chandpole Market, GT, WTP, etc. After enjoying shopping whole day, we catch the Shatabdi Express in the evening that dropped us to the Delhi Junction. Later, my travel agent transferred me to the Delhi airport from where I board my departure flight to onward destination.
